AVAILABLE: champagne riding pony brood mare

Location: Sweden, where we can meet up with transporters around Stockholm.
Price level: normally Universe, but with a quick and easy sale to a 5***** home: Galaxy

Our fantastic German Riding Pony broodmare Jalina (born 2020) is available again, after being booked by time wasters several times since this summer.

She is amber champagne tobiano which is a very sought after color for breeding. Being homozygous for the color, that means that all her foal – not matter which stallion is being used – will be champagne colored! On top of that, she herself was a premie foal in Germany.

Since she had such a gorgeous foal with us this summer we think she is going to love having more foals, and that is also what we are selling her as due to the fact that she was covered as a 3 yo and has not been ridden. We think she would like being ridden too in the future, but she is sold as a brood mare, who is very unique due to her genetic traits. She has not been covered in 2024, which makes it possible for an early covering in 2025.

Her height is around 145 cm.

Champagne foals are born with bright blue eyes, which later color to amber. Particularly striking is the special shine that is inherent in the Champagne gene and which is reminiscent of the shine of the Akhal Teke. It is a dream for breeders but also an absolute eye-catcher for the ambitious rider.

When we saw her, we just couldn’t resist as Jalina is linebred to the fantastic amber champagne stallion Khalvin Khlein KpM, who we sadly lost to old age in 2023! She is a German Riding Pony with 59% Arabian, born 2020.

Both her father and the mother’s half-brother passed their stallion performance test with TOP marks and were awarded as performance stallions. Khasanova (by Khalvin Khlein KpM) convinces above all with a first-class step and enormous rideability and willingness to perform. Jamila’s mother was premium awarded as a foal and then again as a breeding mare when she was 3 years old.

Khasanova completed his performance test in Munich in autumn 2017 and passed with the dream grade of 8.03. He received absolute dream marks from the training manager: 9.0 for character and sociability, performance and stride! He also received an 8.0 for trot, rideability, jumping ability (free jumping and pace jumping) and even an 8.5 in the cross-country and for willingness to learn and perform! The outside riders also rated his rideability with a smooth 9.0!! Unfortunately, on the day of the test, he was a bit “over-motivated” when jumping and was given deductions because he reacted unwillingly when the obstacles pulled on him when he was held back. So he ended up getting a few 7s. What was also striking here was his great stride, which was rated 9.0, with an average of 7.67 for the test group.

All of Khasanova’s foals have been awarded prizes so far, many of them with grades above 8, only Saiwa just missed the prize, but was still extremely young at the branding date. Lady Aquila took first place at the state show in her very strong class. His mother won the state show both as a foal and as a three-year-old and then, to top it off, she also became the three-year-old national champion mare Pinto in the ZfdP. Some of her children also became state champion foals. She now has 3 licensed sons. Khasanova’s father Khalvin is known for his very rideable and productive offspring and he also has several licensed sons and grandchildren. Khalvin had the most amazing temperament ever, and the riders on his 30 day stallion test in Germany loved him – just as we did. Jubilar, father of Judith, competed as Pony against Warmbloods in Jmnping class M. Khasanova is SCID and CA free, just as Khalvin Khlein KpM.

This means, that even though we bought her because of her color – she is homozygous champagne – and her relationship to our beloved stallion Khalvin, we have the best possibilities to breed top class performance riding ponies with her. Jalina herself was awarded as a premium foal in Germany, and even though we have not been able to merit her ourselves after that due to my big stomach hernia that needed surgery in 2023, we are very happy with her development and personality. She is also a fantastic mother!

”Majestic, expressive and regal are probably the adjectives that best suit Khalvin Khlein KpM

It is an absolute joy to watch him, even when at rest he captures your heart with his charismatic charm.

His movement is expressive, serene and full of natural balance especially his light footed steps and ground coverage in canter and gallop. He carries himself well with good use of the hind leg in walk, trot, canter and gallop.

Khalvin Khlein KpM has high ride-ability, a willing and trainable work ethic he is an absolute pleasure to ride. In competition he is eager to work always seeking the next jump as if at play with rhythm and balance.

At the performance testing the inspectors were impressed by his enthusiasm and motivation. He successfully completed his performance test at the grand age of 16.

Khalvin Khlein is a Partbred Arab Stallion bred by Karen Malcor Chapman in California, USA

His rare “champagne” gene comes from his dam, the Partbredarabian mare “Miss Sundance”.

Notable bloodlines in his pedigree are Comar Bay Beau and Azraff and the AQHA Stallion Questionmark, son of Plaudit xx .

The Beautiful, noble father Khornerstone KpM (born 1992) of Khalvin Khlein remains in good health in California. He has an outstanding lovable and honest character.

His father Khemosabi was for years one of the most popular Arabian thoroughbred stallions in the US and has more than a thousand foals. He died at 34 years but is still regarded as a legend.

In the 4th generation we find “Morafic” which was term sire of the Egyptian State Stud El Zahraa. His father Nazeer was titled “King of Egypt”.

His offspring inherit his nobility, jumping ability, tactful safe movement, his beautiful looks and frequently his beautiful colour.

When it comes to jumping ability and technique he leaves nothing to be desired. His son Dreammark was winner of the Loose Jumping Competition with a score of 9.5!”

Gwendolyn Gregorio reported:

“Khalvin Khlein KpM, the imported US APb (Arabian Partbred) stallion was approved with the German Arabian Breed Association ZSAA on 11th/12th of May 2001.  He scored a sensational 8 for type and trot! Comment of the breeding director for his performance: jumps with great elastic bascule and very good technique, outstanding trot with great elasticity and very good balance, beautiful type and great stallion presence.”

When Khalvin was approved on his 30-day stallion test in Germany he got 10 on his mentality and we can tell you already that this is something hos offsprings have inherited.

Khalvin has offsprings all over the world, sold for record prices, and we miss him every day. We are therefor retaining her son, Stellar Dom Pérignon.

We adore her and she is a lovely mother that had an easy foaling, but as we really need cutting back due to both my husband’s and my own physical healing we need to have as few ponies at home as possible during this winter. We are only s3lling to the absolute best homes though, otherwise they are staying.

More Welsh A, B & Partbred, and ridden German Warmblood available.
